Hello,
I agree with Cathy.
Nuccia, we can do something for the Calabria and Sicily posts....

Riccardo, I don't know if you are aware (sorry if I am hijacking this thread) but recently (thanks to Nuccia, Simona and Liz) I created a new and improved forum, which includes Sicily by Provincia. I would love it if you perhaps joined and posted a query. Here is the link:

Try to clean cache and cookie and see if it works. Wink

Hello. Sorry I'm late. You all know weekends are bad for me. I just didn't want to miss out, so..... Lee, I have AOL too. I don't have a problem with the yellow fish. BUT, I do clean my cookies and cache out every week, as goganga suggested. It seems to work. You can automatically set your computer to do that.

I clean my cache twice a week. I've been on the internet since 1991 and back then you had to clean your cache all the time so I got in the habit. I am afraid to clean my cookies because don't they save your passwords?
Shocked I have so many sites that require passwords I cannot remember them all anymore!acc

I have found that clearing the cache AND the cookies does 'sometimes' clear some passwords - but NOT all of them. I don't know what criteria the little guy inside my PC uses when decoding which to delete (LOL).

I'm like you - remembering passwords is an absolute killer - and at my age I am the proud owner of a World Class 'Forgettery' - it never lets me down! The 'memory' is "sh*t" - but the 'forgettery' ok

SO - here's how I cope with the possible loss of passwords....

I have set up a 'My Documents' File with a title that is obvious to me. On that I have certain private information - but that file has a password which is simple enough for me to remember - but which would be impossible for anyone else to know!

This simple system has stood me in good steat for a number of years.

Oh well, well...
It's clear that you don't know of my paranoid about security... roll eyes
I never saved a password on my pc: do you think that it's so sure saving them? think It's better to write them on paper... And then, if you try to remember them, it's a good exercise to keep your memory spry...! biggrin
My browser cleans cache and cookies each time I close it.

I write my passwords down index cards along with the site information. I now never save passwords anymore. It seems to work and I no longer lock myself out of the forums.

LMAO!!!

Carole, you are one funny lady!! ok ok

I do write down my passwords because I happen to suffer... from time to time...of the sudden streaks of memory shutdown (aka-all system failure brainwise) and no one can't beat a stinking password out of me even if you beaten to a pulp and my life depended on it!! Rolling Eyes

There was a time I could remember endless amounts of phone numbers and get a shower first thing in the morning...But that was before I had kids, of course baeh

Nuccia, if anything...since you've received wonderful advise already...I would not mind if there was a small change to the look of the site. Now, don't throw rotten eggs or tomatoes at me, but to me it would look less "busy" (I think thats a good way to describe it, lol) if the background color was a tad more soothing. That's about it Shocked

*runs out of here really really fast* vanish

Your opinion is important to me Liz so thanks for offering it. These are the things we are looking at. Of course I'm going to start a poll soon and include all the comments you have given and then everyone can vote anonymously.

Please Please Please dont say anything more about passwords I think some of you will have read about the problem I gave myself just a few days ago - go to 'Amici' to 'everyday things' and read 'What a Morning! I should have made the Topic 'What a Week'.
That's good advice Simy to write passwords down on a piece of paper but what do you do when you put that piece of paper in one of those safe places that even you yourself cant find it. My house if full of those SAFE places. I even have my 'Wedding dress' packed away in one of those 'safe' places and I never been able to find it in over 10 years. Embarassed Emmy

Emmy, how big is your house????? Shocked Confused

I'm one of [CENSORED] people who knows...errrr...more like HAS to know where everything is and my stuff is always confined to one spot, that way I do not run the risk of misplacing anything. The few times that has happened (also known as the: I'll place whatever wherever it needs to go ""later"" syndrome), I've gone nuts trying to retrace my steps!!!! gaah
